Das US-amerikanische Unternehmen Brown-Forman verkauft die Marke Finlandia Vodka an das Schweizer Unternehmen Coca-Cola HBC. Geeinigt haben sich die beiden Parteien auf einen Kaufpreis von 200 Millionen US-Dollar. Der Besitzerwechsel der Marke soll in der zweiten Jahreshälfte vonstattengehen. Unklar ist zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht nur, ob Finlandia Vodka dem deutschen Markt erhalten bleiben und wie der Vertrieb aufgestellt sein wird, sondern auch, ob die Herstellung bei der skandinavischen Anora Group verbleibt. Bisher stellt deren Koskenkorva Distillery in Koskenkorva den Basisalkohol per kontinuierlicher Destillation aus heimischer Gerste her, während die Abfüllanlage in Rajamäki das Blending mit Gletscherwasser und das Einstellen der Trinkstärke vornimmt.
