Gegen Ende September wurde das deutsch-österreichische Finale der Patrón Perfectionists Cocktail Competition 2021/2022 ausgetragen. Franz Königsberger, Barprofi aus dem „Jack Rabbit“ in Weissensee im österreichischen Kärnten – inzwischen im „Tiny Cup“ in Frankfurt am Main, ist es dabei gelungen, die Experten-Jury mit seiner Kreation „T-G-T“ von sich zu überzeugen. Stellvertretend für Deutschland und Österreich wird Franz Königsberger im Januar 2022 zum Global Final in die Heimat von Patrón Tequila, zur Hacienda Patrón im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Jalisco, reisen. Vor Ort werden die Besten aller Teilnehmerländer um den Gesamtsieg mixen.
„T-G-T“

45 ml Patrón Silver
15 ml Riesling dry
20 ml Martini Prosecco syrup*
4-8 dashes white wine vinegar
Garnish: flower
Method: The drink is thrown. Ingredients in the shaker, ice to it, strainer on and throw. The drink needs a lot of air to develop perfectly and increases in complexity with temperature.
* Martini Prosecco syrup: 750 ml Prosecco, 100 g sugar. Boil down together, reduce by about half and ready, everyone should be able to do it.
Yes, the syrup is „homemade“ and yes, I am aware that this may lead to a deduction of points, although the underlying idea is more based on sustainability. Because almost every bar has an open sparkling wine that is either sold by the glass or used as a filler / fizz for drinks. It can happen that there is something left in the bottle that can no longer be used optimally for drinks (loss of carbonic acid) so that it does not have to be wasted, you simply boil it with a little sugar and you have a great product is versatile (also for non-alcoholic drinks).

Zum Zeitpunkt der Bewerbungsphase befand sich Franz Königsberger im „Jack Rabbit“ in Weissensee. Inzwischen ist der Bartender im „Tiny Cup“ in Frankfurt am Main anzutreffen.

Das Global Final der Patrón Perfectionists Cocktail Competition 2021/2022 wird nicht wie gewöhnlich im Januar, sondern im März 2022 stattfinden.
