Wie Patrón Spirits als Bestandteil des familiengeführten Unternehmens Bacardi Limited bekannt gibt, ist David Rodriguez zum neuen Master Distiller für Patrón Tequila ernannt worden. Der bisherige Director General für Patrón Spirits Manufacturing Operations in Mexiko folgt damit auf Francisco Alcaraz, der in den Ruhestand gegangen ist. Alcaraz, innerhalb der Branche den Status einer Legende genießend, widmete 50 Jahre seines Lebens der Herstellung von Tequila. Seit den frühen Anfängen der im Jahr 1989 gegründeten Marke Patrón Tequila war der Experte dabei. Dabei entwickelte der Master Distiller maßgeblich die bis heute gültigen Herstellungsweisen sowohl für das Kernsortiment als auch für Limited Editions. In über drei Jahrzehnten mit Francisco Alcaraz an der Spitze avancierte Patrón Tequila zu einem der populärsten Brands in dem als Ultra Premium beziehungsweise Super Premium betitelten Segment. Der neue Master Distiller, David Rodriguez, lernte über 18 Jahre lang unter Alcaraz. Für ihn gilt es, die Errungenschaften seines Mentors zu bewahren und zugleich die Marke weiter zu entwickeln.
