Vor wenigen Tagen fand das Weltfinale der Patrón Perfectionists Cocktail Competition 2021/2022 in der Hacienda Patrón im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Jalisco statt. Als Sieger ging Harrison Kenney aus Australien hervor. Der aus dem „Cantina OK!“ in Sydney angereiste Barprofi wusste nicht nur mit Charme und Gastgeberqualitäten, sondern auch mit dem Drink „Teal“ die Jury in seinen Bann zu ziehen. Seine Kreation kombiniert den Patrón Silver unter anderem mit Fino Sherry, Selleriesaft und Kiwi. Harrison Kenney konnte so seine 14 Kontrahenten aus aller Welt hinter sich lassen. Für Deutschland und Österreich trat Franz Königsberger aus dem „Tiny Cup“ in Frankfurt am Main an.

10 ml Fino Sherry
15 ml Simple Syrup 1:1
20 ml fresh pressed Lime
20 ml fresh juiced Celery
3 x 50c size pieces of fresh Kiwifruit
Vanilla pods (Vanilla EVOO)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Vanilla EVOO)
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: –
Method: In a shaker tin, place Kiwifruit, Tequila, Sherry, Lime juice, Celery juice and Simple Syrup. Shake, fine strain and serve in a coupe and add 3-5 drops of Vanilla EVOO.
