Das schottische Unternehmen William Grant & Sons unterzieht seine Traditionsmarke Grant’s einem umfassenden Relaunch. Neben einem neuen Flaschendesign und einem neuen Namen für die bisher als Grant’s Family Reserve bekannte Kernqualität kommen neue Abfüllungen von Master Blender Brian Kinsman dauerhaft hinzu. Alle nachfolgend genannten Whiskys eint das Alkoholvolumen von 40 Prozent.
Weiterhin im Mittelpunkt stehen wird der Grant’s Family Reserve, allerdings unter dem neuen Namen Grant’s Triple Wood. Die Bezeichnung soll unterstreichen, dass die in diesem Blended Whisky vermählten 25 Malt und Grain Whiskys in drei verschiedenen Fasssorten heranreifen: Virgin Oak, American Oak und Refill Bourbon. Die Zusammensetzung soll angetastet geblieben sein. Neu hinzu kommt der Grant’s Triple Wood Smoky, bei dem der Master Blender auf einen höheren Anteil an getorften Whiskys setzt.
Ebenfalls erhalten bleibt der Grant’s Ale Cask als Bestandteil der sogenannten Cask Editions, die Finishes in ausgewählten Fässern erfahren. Wie der Name schon verrät, reift der Ale Cask zusätzlich in ehemaligen Bierfässern nach. Erweitert wird die Reihe um den Grant’s Rum Cask – nachgereift in ehemaligen Rumfässern – und den Grant’s 8 Jahre Sherry Cask – achtjährige Reifung plus Finish in ehemaligen Oloroso-Sherryfässern.
