Ballantine’s hat die seit 2010 jährlich zu Weihnachtszeit erscheinende Christmas Reserve Limited Edition für 2013 gelauncht. Die vierte Auflage des festlichen Blended Scotch Whiskys ist eine Entwicklung von Ballantine’s Master Blender Sandy Hyslop und enthält süße sowie fruchtige Malt- und Grain-Whiskys – unter anderem sind Malt-Whiskys von Miltonduff und Glenburgie vertreten.
Der in 15 Märkten erhältliche Blend wird von Ballantine’s mit einer Werbekampagne unterstützt, die unter dem Titel ‚The Taste of Christmas‘ läuft. Im Rahmen der Kampagne wird das Hauptaugenmerk auf die sieben folgenden Verkostungsnotizen gelegt: Ingwer, feuchter Rosinenfrüchtekuchen, reife Birnen, süße kandierte Äpfel, Karamelltoffee, würzige Orange und Süßholzwurzel. Zur Kampagne zählt zudem die Facebook-App ‚Discover Your Taste of Christmas‘
, die dem Konsumenten einen individuellen idealen Serviervorschlag für den Ballantine’s Christmas Reserve Limited Edition 2013 liefern soll.
Der diesjährige Signature Drink für den Ballantine’s Christmas Reserve Limited Edition 2013 heißt „Ballantine’s Christmas Reserve Cinnamon Sleigh“ und soll ein wärmender Drink sein, der mit Zimt die fruchtige Tiefe des Blends unterstreiche.

Die Ballantine’s Christmas Reserve Limited Edition 2013 ist ab sofort erhältlich. Die speziell designte Flasche inklusive Geschenkverpackung besitzt in Großbritannien einen empfohlenen Preis von 30 Britischen Pfund. Hierzulande wird der Blended Scotch Whisky aktuell für knapp 30 Euro geführt.
